Margo – The Scientific Empath Vimeo Channel

12/6/20 – I’ve created a special channel on my Vimeo account which includes previously private videos on my research and reporting on methane, sea ice and other climate related subjects. Once a new video has been available to my SubscribeStar members for a week, the video will be made public and added to this channel. The channel is public and available for anyone to view. Please visit my new Vimeo channel – Margo – The Scientific Empath. Bookmark the page and share however you like. I’ve done this in an effort to have another location to see the videos in addition to my website. I’m also adding more older videos to the channel as I have time. Thank you for supporting and sharing my work. Here’s the direct link:  https://vimeo.com/channels/margoempath

Are We Already Above 3 C and Nearing 4 C Temperature Rise?

Margo looks at the new 10 C Stacked Temperature Rise chart from Sam Carana’s latest blogpost – “There Is No Time To Lose” – http://arctic-news.blogspot.com/2020/11/there-is-no-time-to-lose.html.

the latest from Sam Carana:  There is no time to lose

“This means that the threat is even more menacing when including large methane releases that threaten to occur as temperatures keep rising in the Arctic and sediments at the seafloor of the Arctic Ocean threaten to get destabilized, resulting in the eruption of huge amounts of methane.”

*Note: Carana has updated the following image to reflect even higher temperatures for 2020 – showing we have already reached  3 C increase, with a 4 C rise happening in 2021. Carana has also stated in the past that human extinction comes with a 3 C rise. If the following chart is correct, then things are MUCH WORSE than we’re being told.

Analysis of New Methane & Carbon Dioxide Data on CAMS with Margo (Jan. 15, 2020)

After almost 2 weeks of no new data, CAMS has started releasing new methane and carbon dioxide data for 2020. Margo looks at the new data and compares it to her previous recordings of CAMS images. She notes a considerable difference in the colors on the maps compared to what was seen before the lapse. Additionally, so far there is missing data for Jan. 1-4 and Jan. 6, 2020.
